Hello, shadow

I see you’ve returned

my darkness

I see you’ve changed

my shape—

blurred my boundaries

distorted my whole being

made a mockery of me

and left that bare creature

on the ground

shadow,

you’ve cast out

lies

the truth

is hidden somewhere

in that darkness

where a soul should be

but is currently taking shelter

from the light
